THE OLD COVENANT V THE NEW COVENANT PT 2
THE OLIVE TREE
“You, a wild olive, have been grafted in among them to share the nourishing sap from the olive root.” Romans 11:17
Let us first read the passage in Romans:
“I say then, Elohim (God) has not rejected and cast away His people, has He? Certainly not! .... Did they (Israel) stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.
“Now if their transgression has enriched the world, and if their failure means such riches for the Gentiles, how much greater enrichment their full restoration will bring! .... For if their rejection and exclusion from the benefits of salvation led to the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? And if the first handful of dough offered as first-fruits is holy, the whole batch of dough is holy also; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
“But if some of the branches have been broken off, while you, a wild olive, have been grafted in among them to share the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you.
“You will say then, ‘Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.’ Right! But they were broken off because of their unbelief, and you stand only by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; for if Elohim (God) did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you.
“Look then at the kindness and severity of YAHWEH; to those who fell, severity, but to you, Elohim's (God’s) kindness, provided that you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. And they also, if they do not persist in their unbelief, will be grafted in; for YAHWEH is able to graft them in again.
“For if you were cut out of a wild olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!
“For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brethren, lest you be wise in your own estimation; a (temporary) hardening has happened to a part of Israel (which will continue) until the full number of Gentiles has come in.”
Romans 11:1, 11-12, 15-25
A hasty interpretation of the passage would say – “their own olive tree” means the tree is Israel; and therefore believing gentiles are grafted into Israel.
But the Israelites were not the tree – they were branches. They were privileged, having had the revelations of YAHWEH, and Elohim's (God’s) provision for atonement under the Old Covenant; but they were neither the root nor the sap. To be sustained as branches, they needed to partake of the nourishing sap.
The Olive Tree represents the Place of Privilege in the Purpose of YAHWEH ELOHIM (GOD).
“Their own olive tree” means Israel’s original place of privilege.
To teach that the Olive Tree is Israel and Jewish culture is ludicrous. National Israel cannot give us life and nourishment; in fact, Israel disappeared for nearly 1900 years. And neither can the Messiah Y’shua-rejecting religious Israel give us nourishment! Jewish culture, heritage or Hebrew itself may or may not help our understanding or bring encouragement, but they themselves are not the nourishing sap of the Olive Tree.
Even the true spiritual remnant of Israel - Jewish believers – are not the root of the Olive Tree. They also have been grafted into the Olive Tree, and are brought back into the place of privilege and purpose of YAHWEH ELOHIM.
“And they also, if they do not persist in their unbelief, will be grafted in; for YAHWEH is able to graft them in again.” Romans 11:23
The Gentile believer’s are not grafted into the Jewish leaves; they are grafted in amongst them.

PROPHECY for the BODY of CHRIST: "LET ME BE YOUR LIFE!"

Gerri Merrick: Received March 26, 2013...early in the morning

"Do not let your peace be shattered.
Do not let your faith be pierced.
Do not let your confidence be stolen.
Do not let your assurance be drained away.

You are mine...My children,
My people, the salt and light upon the earth.
You are the witnesses to My Truth.

You carry My love within you,
as a testimony of My Faithfulness.
Stay covered under My wings for shelter.
Live in the high tower and fortress of My love and power.

These are hard and trying times in all the nations.
but I tell you that terrible times are coming...
they are even on the horizon.

Times that will be a terror for those of the world...
who have chosen to put their trust and set their love
upon the false security of the things of the world...
the riches and dull glitter of the world.

They shall not stand.
Many shall not survive.

Men will shake and drop to their knees in terror
and fear as their foundations crumble under them
as in an earthquake.

Many hearts shall stop. Many shall choose death to try
and escape from the things that used to give them pleasure.

I AM THAT I AM.

I shall never change.
Those who choose life and blessings are the ones who choose ME.

The nations shall continue to fester and boil.
No one will have an answer to stop the destruction.
Only turning to Me can be found safety and relief.

The birth pangs have begun...those with My Spirit
shall know what to do, where to go and when to go.

My Kingdom is not of this world.
On the very last day on the earth, I stated this Truth to one who was of the world. (Note: Pontius Pilot asking about "truth")

I have made the seeking of My Kingdom a first priority.
I have said that it is the Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom...righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

The depth of the oceans is not concerned
with the waves crashing upon the shore far above.
Even hard rain is not noticed in the deep of the seas.

Do not let yourself be troubled.
Do not let yourself be afraid.

Let the focus of your life be ME!
Let the peace only I can bring cause quiet strength
and steadiness.

You will look and see...but do not let the things
of this world unsettle your heart and mind and soul.

I AM all that you need.
I AM your total life.and delight.

Nothing shall unsettle you as you stay
fixed in your faith in ME.
Like a young eagle high on a ledge with his parent...
you shall only "watch the valley below..."

Stay close to ME...your Shepherd Savior.
Stay peaceful in ME...your Faithful Father.
Stay safe and joyful in ME...your Creator King."

OH THE WONDROUS PLAN OF GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!

But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

The Word of Their Testimony
The call to a Christian life is to be an overcomer, in the same sense that Jesus said, "I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). Every Christian is taught to "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good" (Rom. 12:21). Yet Christians backslide into sin, even after genuine conversion. What is the Bible answer to overcoming tenacious sins, putting off troubling transgressions, and casting aside nagging iniquities? How can we "lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us" (Hebr. 12:1)? By what specific process do Christians "overcome the world," as Jesus commanded. How can we fulfill the command: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" (Matt. 5:48)?
"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Hebr. 4:12).
"And they overcame him [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death" (Rev. 12:11).
Every genuine Christian knows he is saved, sins forgiven, through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. Period. No sin, no iniquity, no depravity, no transgression is greater than that shed blood of Jesus Christ, hallelujah! For this reason, we must confront rather than point a finger at the backslidden brother or sister. Concerning those "overtaken in a fault," every spiritual Christian is called to "restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted" (Gal. 6:1).
The Christian call to overcoming is a plain teaching of the Bible. It is the call of faith set to work. It is the call every genuine Christian aspires to and strives for. Yet, so many times, Christians, in their weakness, yield to the world, the flesh and Satan the devil. How can Christians who have lost their spiritual virginity of conversion and first love, regain their chastity? How can iniquitous gossips put a bridle on their tongues and find a pure language? How can backslidden thieves and liars and adulterers regain the purity of life ordered by Holy Scripture? It all begins with the words we speak.
Yes, it is by "the word of their testimony."
In a word, how can genuine Christians be overcomers in the Biblical sense of that word? What does it mean to be an overcomer?
Consider for a moment the depth of depravity of the human soul. Yes, depraved it is. The great Psalmist describes this condition upon himself. He says: "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me" (Ps. 51:5). Pure words. Brother and sister, can you say those words of yourself? David is not speaking of the act that engendered his conception, as some churches teach. No, "marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled" (Hebr. 13:4), according to the Bible.
Being "shapen in iniquity" for David and for every soul of Adam kind including you and me took place long before conception. It took place in the form of original sin, "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive" (1Cor. 15:22). Every man and woman of Adam's race is born in sin, worthy of death. But, hallelujah, the blood of Christ covers all who believe that "we shall be saved by his [Christ's] life" (Rom. 5:10).
Some churches teach that the process of overcoming is through acts of the will and deprivation of the flesh, even flagellation of the body. Those churches, sincere as their founders may have been, have led multitudes down the path of pseudo-salvation, justification by various works of the flesh. These founders and religious leaders, for whatever their Biblical scholarship, have since the very first century of Christianity carried the doctrine of the Pharisees forward in the church of God. Yet what doctrine could be more filled with self righteousness, pride and falsehood than to believe that through acts of the human will, when confronted with temptation, humans would choose righteousness and eschew evil, and therefore secure their salvation? What pompous self delusion! What utter nonsense! "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3:23).
Truth is, we are the most forgiving and forgetting people on the face of the earth of our own nagging personal sins. We quickly put them under the blood, forget them, and know that "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he [God] removed our transgressions from us" (Ps. 103:12). We should remember that what God has done for us personally, He is also doing for others. What right do Christians have to categorize one sin above another, and thus feel more righteous by comparison? Truth is, failure to forgive secures our individual place in hell!
"For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified" (Hebr. 10:14). Do you think you are more sanctified than your backslidden brother? Think again!
Are you sanctified? How do you know? Is it because you think you now sin less than someone else? Think again! You are no less a sinner in the flesh now than you were when you lived without Christ. You have a new nature, true, but your old nature continues to rise up from time to time, usually when you least expect it. Don't think for one minute that the notorious sin of a brother or sister is of more consequence to God than your own private sin, that the difference is one of degree. The Pharisee in you may rise up in self righteous indignation at a another person's notorious sin, but the publican in you must quickly smite your breast, and say: "God be merciful to me a sinner" (Luke 18:13).
Your words are so important, for they reveal what is in your heart. When you point a finger of accusation toward another, your words will come back and destroy you, unless you are without sin. "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned" (Matt. 12:37). And what man can say he is without sin?
Keeping God's words in our lips is the ultimate expression and evidence of faith: "But whoso keepeth his [God's] word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him" (1John 2:5). And as our father Abraham, it is only by such faith&emdash;not by our performance of the law&emdash;that we can have genuine righteousness attributed to us. "For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith" (Rom. 4:13). Many so called Christians are mere babes, because they have not grown up to understand faith, which is not an ethereal feeling in the heart. Faith is not an emotion or sentiment. Faith is the daily application of Scripture in life, which begins with the words we speak. In that sense, our words are our faith, and our faith is expressed in our words. Unless we get our words right, our actions are worthless and good for nothing. Without getting "the word of their testimony" in line with Scripture, Christians bring no glory to God, no witness for the kingdom, and no good fruits.
What many Christians think they must do in themselves is already a completed work of Christ. "And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations" (Rev. 2:26). How does the Christian "keep. . . my works?" The answer, again, is through the faith of Christ working inside the Christian. No amount of human willing or mind power will bring success. Keeping Christ's works (not our own works) is accomplished first by "the word of their testimony" which we speak. "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them [past tense]: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" (1John 4:4). Once our words are right, our actions will follow. Scripture leaves no room for the spirit of lawlessness. Yet faithless Christians who attempt to keep the works of the law, or some other code of salvation, are by definition Pharisees, whom Christ condemned with the strongest possible rebukes.
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone" (Matt. 23:23). No amount of the works of the law can save. No amount of deeds of the flesh can justify. No amount of filthy lucre can redeem a human soul. "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36). Money can never buy the gift of faith, from whence naturally flows "the word of their testimony."
"I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one" (1John 2:13-14).
Lest we forget, the strength of the Christian life is not found in the works we perform. Strong Christians are found only where "the word of God abideth in you." How does the word of God abide in us? The word of God cannot abide only as thoughts in the heart. The word of God abides only in the mouths of those who speak it. The only sure proof that the word of God abides in anyone is through the evidence of that word being spoken from the lips, through a good confession of faith. Further, "the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Hebr. 4:12).
Nowhere does the Bible teach that the thoughts of God are quick and powerful. Nowhere does the Bible teach that thinking good thoughts is evidence of salvation. Nowhere does the Bible teach that pure thoughts are the end result of a Christian life. Contemplation or meditation on the words of God is always set out in words. And without words, there can be no genuine faith in the heart. Without the spoken word of God, the fruit of the lips, no man is saved. "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Rom. 10:10). "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven" (Matt. 10:32). The publican was accepted of God, not merely by the thoughts of his heart, but when he "smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner" (Luke 18:13).
It was not mere thoughts that saved Shadrach, Meshech and Abednego from the burning fiery furnace. It was the spoken word of God that saved them from the flames.
"If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
"But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up" (Dan 3:17-18).
Shadrach, Meshech and Abednego, in making this good confession of their faith, were stating and risking their personal lives by upholding the law/word of God, recorded by Moses: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" (Exo 20:3). These three were true to the spoken word of God. These three were delivered by "the word of their testimony."
David and Daniel and Gideon and Joshua and Sarah and Deborah and Abigail&emdash;all men and women of faith&emdash;made a good confession by "the word of their testimony." These faithful overcomers spoke the word of God.
We live in the day of multiplied words. Television and radio and most other forms of mass media rely on the spoken word. Think about it. How many channels to you have on your TV? How many choices of words can you tune in at any given time? How many stations are there on your radio dial? How many words are spoken daily over telephones? Words are multiplied in our modern world. "In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise" (Prov. 10:19). "For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God" (Eccl. 5:7).
And of all the millions, yea billions of words spoken and broadcast each day, how many of these words are from God? Less than 1%? Maybe even less than one one- hundredth of one percent?
You see, God is calling a remnant to unplug from speaking and hearing worldly words, mass communications. He is calling a remnant to bring those communications down into a lesser perspective than we spend speaking and listening to the words of God. Take a self test, and be honest. Think about tape recording every word you speak for 24 hours. Then think about replaying the tape and transcribing all your spoken words to paper. What percentage of your words would reflect Holy Scripture, the word of God? 1%? 2%? 5%, perhaps, if you are really into the Bible every day. God wants His people to learn to express their thoughts into words that are framed from the Holy Bible. Such is impossible, unless we spend time daily in the word of God. Without daily Biblical input, our tongue goes wild, and then what do we have?
"And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell" (James 3:6).
Yes, our words are ultimately important. "But speaking the truth in love, [that you] may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ" (Eph. 4:15).
"And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men" (Acts 24:16). How?
The Psalmist teaches: "I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me" (Ps. 39:1).
"If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain" (James 1:26).
Words are powerful, either for good or for evil. The power of the spoken word of God, the only pure language, is miraculous. Every genuine Christian knows the power of the word of God. He will join all other genuine Christians who are learning to frame their lives "by the word of their testimony."

Seek the wisdom from the Holy Spirit when mixing with others...including those professing to be "Christians"...True BELIEVERS in CHRIST JESUS will bear the Fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-24)

2 Timothy 3:5
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2 Timothy 3:5 (AMP)
For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].
2 Timothy 3:5 (ERV)
They will go on pretending to be devoted to God, but they will refuse to let that “devotion” change the way they live. Stay away from these people!

Study how Jesus and the Disciples and other early wise Believers dealt with many varieties of people. Be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove.  Love mankind, but do not fear or coddle them. Do not enable others to sin wanting to be popular with them....this is a serious sin and shall grieve the Holy Spirit. Check your deepest motivations in your heart. Ask yourself  "Why" in all that your do. Fear GOD and pray for men. Obey the Holy Spirit and ask Him to teach you wise words and actions.
Surround yourself with those who love and obey God and are growing in faith. Do not waste time in your Faith Race with those who will pull you back, drain your anointing or tempt you to sin.
PLEASE GOD through your Faith and Obedience.  Do not be a man pleaser!

(Deu 6:5-9) "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. {6} "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. {7} "You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. {8} "You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. {9} "You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

(Deu 12:7) "And there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice in all to which you have put your hand, you and your households, in which the LORD your God has blessed you.

(Deu 26:11) "So you shall rejoice in every good thing which the LORD your God has given to you and your house, you and the Levite and the stranger who is among you.

(1 Sam 2:1-8) And Hannah prayed and said: "My heart rejoices in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation. {2} "No one is holy like the LORD, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God. {3} "Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the LORD is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed. {4} "The bows of the mighty men are broken, And those who stumbled are girded with strength. {5} Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, And the hungry have ceased to hunger. Even the barren has borne seven, And she who has many children has become feeble. {6} "The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. {7} The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. {8} He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. "For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, And He has set the world upon them.

(Neh 8:10) Then he said to them, "Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our LORD. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."

(Psa 1:1-3) Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; {2} But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. {3} He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

(Psa 21:1) The king shall have joy in Your strength, O LORD; And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

(Psa 22:8) "He trusted in the LORD, let Him rescue Him; Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!"

(Psa 27:6) And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.

(Psa 33:1-3) Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful. {2} Praise the LORD with the harp; Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. {3} Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

(Psa 35:9-10) And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD; It shall rejoice in His salvation. {10} All my bones shall say, "LORD, who is like You, Delivering the poor from him who is too strong for him, Yes, the poor and the needy from him who plunders him?"

(Psa 37:4-6) Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. {5} Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. {6} He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.

(Psa 37:23-24) The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. {24} Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand.

(Psa 42:5) Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.

(Psa 43:2-5) For You are the God of my strength; Why do You cast me off? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? {3} Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle. {4} Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God. {5} Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

(Psa 51:10-13) Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. {11} Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. {12} Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. {13} Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You.

(Psa 63:11) But the king shall rejoice in God; Everyone who swears by Him shall glory; But the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped.

(Psa 71:14-16) But I will hope continually, And will praise You yet more and more. {15} My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And Your salvation all the day, For I do not know their limits. {16} I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.

(Psa 97:11-12) Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart. {12} Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

(Psa 112) Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who delights greatly in His commandments. {2} His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. {3} Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever. {4} Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. {5} A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion. {6} Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. {7} He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. {8} His heart is established; He will not be afraid, Until he sees his desire upon his enemies. {9} He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor. {10} The wicked will see it and be grieved; He will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish.

(Isa 12:2-4) Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; 'For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.'" {3} Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation. {4} And in that day you will say: "Praise the LORD, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted.

(Isa 25:7-9) And He will destroy on this mountain The surface of the covering cast over all people, And the veil that is spread over all nations. {8} He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken. {9} And it will be said in that day: "Behold, this is our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the LORD; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."

(Isa 29:18-19) In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness. {19} The humble also shall increase their joy in the LORD, And the poor among men shall rejoice In the Holy One of Israel.

(Isa 58:6-14) "Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? {7} Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? {8} Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. {9} Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' "If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, {10} If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. {11} The LORD will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. {12} Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. {13} "If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the LORD honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words, {14} Then you shall delight yourself in the LORD; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the LORD has spoken."

(Isa 61:10-11) I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. {11} For as the earth brings forth its bud, As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

(Jer 9:23-24) Thus says the LORD: "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; {24} But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight," says the LORD.

(Joel 2:23-25) Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you; The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. {24} The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. {25} "So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.

(Hab 3:17-19) Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls; {18} Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. {19} The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments.

(Rom 5:1-5) Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, {2} through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. {3} And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; {4} and perseverance, character; and character, hope. {5} Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

(Rom 14:17-19) for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. {18} For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. {19} Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

(Phil 3:3) For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

(Phil 4:4-8) Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! {5} Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. {6} Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; {7} and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. {8} Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy; meditate on these things.
