"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."   Hebrews 11:6

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His  righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."   Matthew 6:33

PROPHETIC SONG:   IT IS FINISHED

By: Gerri Merrick ~ Rainbow Rider Album 1982

HE GAVE HIS LIFE SO I COULD LIVE
HE GAVE ME WEALTH SO I COULD GIVE
HIS HANDS WERE NAILED TO SET ME FREE
GAVE ME FAITH...NOW I BELIEVE

HE TOOK MY SINS TO MAKE ME CLEAN
HE CRIED MY TEARS TO GIVE ME PEACE
HE BORE MY SICKNESS IN DESPAIR
GAVE ME LOVE SO I COULD CARE

CHORUS:
IT IS FINISHED...THE PRICE IS PAID
FINISHED FOR ETERNITY
IT IS FINISHED...THE PRICE IS PAID
PAID FOR YOU...PAID FOR ME

HE SHED HIS BLOOD  TO MELT MY CHAINS
HE SUFFERED THIRST AND DARKEST PAINS
HE OFFERED ME HIS GOLDEN CROWN
WHILE WEARING THORNS...HIS BLOOD FLOWED DOWN

HE TOOK MY PLACE  UPON THE CROSS
HE GAVE ME GAIN...HE SUFFERED LOSS
BECAME CAST DOWN FOR MY DIGNITY
PREPARED MY PLACE IN ETERNITY

CHORUS:
IT IS FINISHED... THE PRICE IS PAID
FINISHED FOR ETERNITY
IT IS FINISHED...THE PRICE IS PAID
PAID FOR YOU...PAID FOR ME

"Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him." Job 15:13
"Without faith, it is impossible to please Him (God)..." Hebrews 11:6
"He who has seen Me has seen the Father." John 14:9

From the Heart: Being Real Believers/Christians...

When we first become Born-Again as Believers in Christ...Jesus as our Savior and Lord...it seems easy to believe, receive and rejoice! We are like new born calves let out of the stalls onto a vast meadow to romp and play each day in the light of our New Life in Christ.

Then comes the time when God must test our faith, to teach and educate our faith. This must happen and it does occur in the life of every Believer. The Father is not harsh or unkind, but He is so astounding in His works, it takes maturing all of our lives in the Faith Walk with Jesus the Word and the Holy Spirit.

As sinful humans born in a fallen world, we must come to learn the many facets of the spiritual realm and who we are as the New Blood Covenant children of God in Christ. Romans 8:28 is a key to this mysterious classroom called life. As we trust our Abba Father to love and care for us, He allows many things to "challenge" our faith...our trust in and of Him.

Faith is a fight! Faith is a battle! This is why we are given the very Armor of Almighty God in Ephesians 6 to "put on"...this is "supernatural prayer armor" and made of "Light." All the various pieces of this armor as written about and described by the Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, was from the Roman battle costume but also fits very well with all other armor in the past centuries even to our modern armies.

So what do we do with this New Life in Christ? How can we take steady giant steps in our faith building upon a solid foundation of faith? My passion as a Christian minister over 30 years and Believer for over 65 years since childhood, has been to know GOD and to teach, guide and lift the Body of Christ to a higher degree of knowing and loving God.

Many Christians just want to play here on the earth but go to Heaven. This life is like a casino game each day! They really don't hate the world and the dull tinsel too much, but they also do not want the "other shoe" to fall or miss out on a Heavenly Eternity. What a Terrible Life!

We are warned about this type of "heart path" and must take time to examine ourselves to see if we are truly "in the faith" as the Bible directs. Playing religious "do good" games with God is dangerous. He has warned about the "great falling away and the lukewarm Christians" being vomited from the mouth of Christ!

Many are called and few are chosen! Wide is the road to destruction and narrow "the Way" to eternal life. I am constantly praying and prodding Believers to get totally serious about their Faith each day! To truly learn how to adore and serve Almighty God as HE desires and has created each Believer to live and give as His holy and royal priesthood! To be caught up with the Holy Spirit and the Fire of God!

What rewards shall be waiting for you from the works of obedient service to God?
How important is Almighty God in your life?
What supernatural signs are following you as a Believer and listed in the New Testament?
How much are emotional "feelings" than true supernatural faith in your life?
What will be your "legacy" as a Believer and disciple of Jesus?
Are the Word of God and the Holy Spirit the true guiding spiritual power in your life... or are you running on highs and lows and "religious experiences with dreams, visions, convention meetings and words from others"?

Everything is not of GOD. Not everything should be shared with others. Many things will not stand the Fire of the Holy Spirit. We must be mature and discern what is "frothy, fluffy and even fleshy." Get past the "feel good, candy coated, warm and fuzzy" level of walking with God.

Does your life reflect the faith needed in a prison or battlefield?
How much Word do you truly know and believe if in a life and death matter?

Millions of Christians are waiting for the "Rapture" to just "get out of here" before the "mess of the tribulation begins"......with no real serious thought of what they are to do with their lives as servants in the Body of Christ NOW... by spending time with the Holy Spirit and in the Word of God. Many have become "feel good" Christians who could never lead anyone to Jesus Christ and then teach that new Believer how to become a disciple, cast out demons, lay hands on the sick to recover, work miracles, etc... Or know how to pray with explosive power in their common language OR in tongues (the spiritual languages of the Holy Spirit)

Beloved Believers...as Jesus, His Disciples... and Paul and the others prayed and exhorted so often...take your eternity seriously!
The Cross of Christ is not an "insurance policy"! It cost GOD everything! We owe Him ALL of our LIVES, TIME, TALENTS, TREASURES, TESTIMONIES.

He is Creator and as His creatures...we have no right to ourselves...and in that we can honor Him with our very breath and willpower surrendered at His Throne. This is the key to an Abundant Life from Christ that shall count all through Eternity for His Glory!

Take time to Seek First (His Kingdom, His Rule in your life) and His Righteousness (being right and pure before Him) in Christ. Matthew 6:33
All things shall begin to fall into Divine Order!

KNOW GOD and ENJOY HIM FOREVER!
BECOME ONE WITH THE FATHER!
NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!
NOW IS THE TIME TO COMMIT & OBEY!

With love in Christ...Gerri Merrick

Serious signs of a lukewarm Christian.   Beware!
1. Lukewarm people attend church fairly regularly. It is what is expected of them, what they believe “good Christians” do, so they go. Isaiah 29:13
2. Lukewarm people give money to charity and to the church as long as it doesn’t impinge on their standard of living. If they have a little extra and it is easy and safe to give, they do so, After all, God loves a cheerful giver, right? 1 Chronicles 21:24, Luke 21:1-4
3. Lukewarm people tend to choose what is popular over what is right when they are in conflict. They desire to fit in both at church and outside of church; they care more about what people think of their actions (like church attendance and giving) than what God thinks of their hearts and lives. Luke 6:26, Revelation 3:1, Matthew 23:5-7
4. Lukewarm people don’t really want to be saved from their sin; they want only to be saved from the penalty of their sin. They don’t genuinely hate sin and aren’t truly sorry for it; they’re merely sorry because God is going to punish them. Lukewarm people don’t really believe that this new life Jesus offers is better than the old sinful one. John 10:10, Romans 6:1-2.
5. Lukewarm people are moved by stories of people who do radical things for Christ, yet they do not act. They assume such action is for “extreme” Christians, not average ones. Lukewarm people call “radical” what Jesus expected of all His followers. James 1:22, James 4:17, Matthew 21:28-31
6. Lukewarm people rarely share their faith with their neighbors, coworkers, or friends. They do not want to be rejected, nor do they want to make people uncomfortable by talking about private issues like religion. Matthew 10:32-33
7. Lukewarm people gauge their morality or “goodness” by comparing themselves to the secular world. They feel satisfied that while they aren’t as hard-core for Jesus as so-and-so, they are nowhere as horrible as the guy down the street. Luke 18:11-12
8. Lukewarm people say they love Jesus, and He is, indeed, a part of their lives, their money, and their thoughts, but he isn’t allowed to control their lives. Luke 9:57-62
9. Lukewarm people love God, but they do not love Him with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. They would be quick to assure you they try to love God that much, but that sort of total devotion isn’t really possible for the average person; its only for pastors and missionaries and radicals. Matthew 22:37-38
10. Lukewarm people love others but do not seek to love others as much as they love themselves. Their love for others is typically focused on those who love them in return, like family, friends, and other people they know and connect with. There is a little love left over for those who cannot love them back, much less for those who intentionally slight them, who kids are better athletes than theirs, or with whom conversations are awkward or uncomfortable. Their love is highly conditional and very selective, and generally comes with strings attached. Matthew 5:43-47, Luke 14:12-14
11. Lukewarm people will serve God and others, but there are limits to how far they will go or how much time, money, and energy they are willing to give. Luke 18:21-25
12. Lukewarm people think about life on earth much more often than eternity in heaven. Daily life is mostly focused on today’s to-do list, this week’s schedule, and next month’s vacation. Rarely, if ever do they intently consider the life to come. Philippians 3:18-20
13. Lukewarm people are thankful for their luxuries and comforts, and rarely consider trying to give as much as possible to the poor. Matthew 25:34, 40, Isaiah 58:6-7
14. Lukewarm people do whatever is necessary to keep themselves from feeling too guilty. They want to do the bare minimum, to be “good enough” without requiring too much of them. 1 Chronicles 29:14, Matthew 13:44-46
15. Lukewarm people are continually concerned with playing it safe; they are slaves to the god of control. This focus on safe living keeps them from sacrificing and risking for God. Matthew 10:28
16. Lukewarm people feel secure because they attend church, made a profession of faith at age twelve, were baptized, come from a Christian family, vote Democrat or Republican. etc. or live in America.
17. Luke warm people do not live by faith; their lives are structured so they never have to do without their natural reserves. They don’t have to trust God if something unexpected happens-they have their savings account. They don’t need God to help them—they have their retirement plan in place. They don’t genuinely seek out what life God would have them live—they have life figured and mapped out. They don’t depend on God on a daily basis-their refrigerators are full and, for the most part, they are in good health. The truth is, their lives wouldn’t look much different if they suddenly stopped believing in God. Luke 12:16-21
18. Lukewarm people probably drink and swear less than average, but besides that, they really aren’t very different from your typical unbeliever. They equate their partially sanitized lives with holiness, but they couldn’t be more wrong. Matthew 23:25-28, Luke 14:34-35
This is just a partial list...you could probably add more.....The Holy Spirit is not personally well known to the "Lukewarm Christian"...He brings too much conviction!

ALMIGHTY GOD MUST TRULY BE FIRST IN OUR HEARTS & LIVES!

Read the 7 Letters from Jesus Christ to the churches in Revelation 1-3
JESUS says of the Church in Laodicea, Turkey...they are Lukewarm and do not need HIM...they will be as "vomit" spit out of His mouth!  He would prefer Cold or Hot because those people know  they Need HIM! How faithful would we be without all the "blessings?"

We must examine our own "comfortable safe lives" living without relying upon the LORD OF GLORY!  JESUS IS LORD!  LIVE LOVING GOD and LIVE LOYAL!
