RESTING IN GOD
The Word of God is filled with instruction how to rest in God. "Thou shall not fret or whine" should be applied to our lives as Believers and Christian soldiers. We are in the world but not of it...we are New Creatures in Christ with the Holy Spirit living within us forever! Anything and everything not of the character of Jesus Christ must be rooted out, cast out, driven out, turned out and crucified through the Word of God connected to our personal will. God's Word is His will...His law of love in the Blood Covenant. God is good and His mercy (love) endures forever!
Resting in God is the place where all Believers should be living. The 9 Fruit of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5: 22-26 is the character traits of "resting in God." As we allow the Holy Spirit to control our lives through surrendering and obeying the Lord Jesus, we are transformed into the very character of our Savior. This brings us into "resting in God." We are to be "proactive" not reacting to the outside "pokes and jabs" of the world, flesh (ours and others) and devil.
ONLY JESUS IS OUR LORD, SAVIOR, KING, MASTER and COMMANDER!
A deep eternal peaceful sigh of relief is experienced as we become One with God...harmony in our spirit, soul and body. This is a daily choice as we love and trust and obey each day of our lives. We can walk through our days with torment, fear and worry in various degrees OR we can make a bold courageous choice to believe what the Word of God says and be a committed doer of the Word! The Blood of Jesus Christ continues to cleanse us from all sins as we march forward in the victory and grace of God! RESTING IN GOD is our promised place to live now and forever!
The "ball is in our court"...our side of the net...until we "get ourselves out of the way" by allowing our will to be braided into the will of God. Following Christ as our example and Shepherd is not a hard life! He brings freedom, peace and joy as our constant companion and Divine Bridegroom...loving us now and forever. We can never fail with and in God...unless we walk amiss from our focus in Christ by leaning on our own understanding, trying to be good instead of relying upon the finished work of Jesus Christ. Our hearts turned to Him will keep the voice of the Holy Spirit clearly whispering as we choose to listen with humility. "Thy will be done, not my will."
We learn who we truly are now in Christ as New Creatures...and walk/live in this truth! We walk in the light and find ourselves "resting in God."
Finding the "rest in God" does not have to take a lifetime! We can work with the transformation by choosing to love God and obeying the First Great Commandment! Even though life on this earth brings challenges and problems and sorrows, we are Overcommers through our Lord Jesus Christ. We are more than conquerors because JESUS IS LORD! JESUS IS GOD!
Our minds are renewed by the Word of God as much as we choose to feed upon the scriptures to be planted as good seed into our lives, uprooting all the "worldly mental weeds." We are to make the personal quality decision to WALK WITH HIM, not away from Him! This is not hard! The Helper and Teacher is within us guiding the way! Our will is the "hinge" of the door in our life choices!
JESUS IS THE DOOR...THE WAY...THE LIFE!
As we spend time getting to know our loving Creator Father, we show that we are truly serious about our daily walk with Him with an undivided heart of loyalty and love. Faith grows and our will becomes supple to the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit. Prayer is sweet fellowship with God! We are His children, His friends, His servants, His treasure, His eternal household, His royal and holy priesthood!
WE ARE NOT OF THIS WORLD!
WE ARE CITIZENS OF HEAVEN!
WE ARE AMBASSADORS OF CHRIST ON THE EARTH!
WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST FOREVER!
Choose to obey through choosing to love God with all of your life...with all of your being! All of your choices! All of your motivations! All of your energies! He will help you accomplish this goal! He is with you to transform you into a radiant child manifesting His kingdom. Manifesting a Christian life RESTING IN GOD.
FAITH RESTS!
FAITH DOES NOT STRUGGLE!
FAITH REJOICES!

RESTING IN GOD is where the Lord Jesus lived everyday! ONE WITH THE FATHER. He promises to bring each Believer into this "ONENESS" as we allow Him to work for the Glory of the Father. A Holy People living, trusting and resting in God is the wondrous purpose of salvation and redemption through the Cross and Blood of Jesus!
